How to make a QR code in Google Chrome
Google Chrome has a built-in QR code generator for the page you're currently viewing, so you can send the current tab to your phone or a friend in a couple of clicks. For anything other than the current page, a dedicated generator gives you more control.
On Chrome for desktop
- Open the page you want to share in Chrome.
- Click the share icon in the address bar (or right-click the page).
- Choose Create QR Code.
- Download the image, or point a phone at the code on screen to open the page.
On Chrome for Android or iPhone
Tap the menu (three dots), choose Share, then QR Code, and Chrome generates a code for the current page that you can save or let someone scan.
For more than the current page
Chrome only encodes the page you're on. To make a code for Wi-Fi, a contact card, custom text, or a link you type in, use Scan QR Code Master's Create tool, which supports many code types and lets you save and share the result.
