How to make a QR code for a website link
A URL QR code is the most common kind — scan it and the phone opens your website, product page, or social profile. It's the easiest way to send people from the physical world to a web page.
Create a URL QR code
- Copy the exact link you want the code to open.
- In Scan QR Code Master, open My Codes and create a New Code with the Type set to URL.
- Paste the link and generate the code.
- Save, share, or print it — and scan it yourself once to confirm it opens the right page.
Make it scan reliably
- Shorten a very long URL first so the code is less dense and easier to read.
- Keep a clear margin around the code and don't stretch or distort it.
- Size it for the distance: a code across a room needs to be much larger than one on a card.
- Use dark modules on a light background for the best contrast.

- Can I change where a QR code points after I print it?
- Not with a plain (static) code — the link is encoded directly into the pattern. If you need to change the destination later, you'd use a dynamic QR code service, which points the code at a redirect you control. See our static vs dynamic guide.
