How to turn QR code scanning on or off on iPhone
iPhone reads QR codes from the Camera app automatically, controlled by a single setting. If codes aren't being detected, this is the first thing to check; if you'd rather the camera ignored them, you can turn it off here too.
Toggle the setting
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll to Camera and tap it.
- Turn Scan QR Codes on (to detect codes) or off (to ignore them).
If you still want to scan with it off

- Why does my iPhone not detect QR codes anymore?
